Camp Highlight – Naankuse – Namibia
Naankuse represents the halfway point for some of the guests and all of the staff. Naankuse is a very unique camp situated in the middle of Namibia near Windoek, the capital of Namibia. Naankuse is an animal sanctuary, started in 2006, devoted to the preservation of African wildlife and the preservation and support of the San community and their culture. Naankuse has many unique experiences including walking with a Cheetah, which seems a bit commercialized at first but when you are in the wild walking with a Cheetah, it becomes very real.

Nature conservation is the is the practice of protecting endangered plant and animal species and their habitats, and feel passionate about it.
We strive to create sustainable and long-term solutions in Namibia. It is our vision to play a pro-active role in nature conservation because we believe that we hold this invaluable heritage in our trust for future generations of Africans. We cannot undo what has been done… but we can shape our future.
We do not receive any government funding and are solely reliant on generous donations, ecotourism and the time of volunteers to continue our vital conservation work to help the people and animals of Namibia. By visiting our unique Lodge, Neuras Estate or Volunteering at one of our projects, you can help to make our vision a reality. All profits from our activities go directly to benefit our work with wildlife conservation and the San Bushman community in Namibia.
We’re a small but dedicated team – ambitious and innovative and we won’t ever stop until we achieve our vision.
