Considering that I am traveling to the wilds of Africa, I sure am taking a bunch of electronics along. I decided to test out my charging capabilities to make sure I would be able to charge everything from the one travel adapter I have. The travel adapter is plugged into the wall. A three outlet power strip is plugged into the adapter. From there, I have another 3 power adapter plug, to a Macbook power adapter and a rechargeable AA charger and a dual purpuse cigarette lighter charger / plug in charger. Also off of the power strip I have two monster power adapters that have two outlets and 2 usb outlets each. Off of these I plug in two more outlet to usb chargers and I have the capability to charge 8 usb devices. In these plugs I have 4 gopro cameras and 4 gopro wifi backs. Then I use the usb outlets in my macbook to charge my gopro wifi remote, my delorme inreach SE and my steripen UV water sterilizer. I also have my ipad plugged in somewhere. The only item that is not plugged in is my phone, I will have to switch it out with something when a port becomes available, I am fresh out of places to plug anything in. I hope the camps we stay at in Southern Africa have sufficient power to take all of these devices. I’m sure there are better ways to do this but I am out of time, planning the safety of flight has trumped getting the most efficient charging setup. Maybe next trip I will find something that works better for my charging needs.
