Progress is Beautiful
The North American AT6 Restoration continues and we are already getting painted parts back. We have pulled everything we are intending to pull and now it’s time to clean, refurbish and replace. The decision was made to rebuild and repaint the landing gear, the parts were serviceable and seal kits are available. We disassembled the gear legs and a friend helped out and painted them.
We have also pulled both fuel tanks and one of them needs a repair, it shows a small leak. Anytime you uncover something that has been hidden for over 50 years you are bound to find things that need a little attention. It was inevitable to find some needed repairs, fortunately there are no show stoppers but there are definitely several items that need attention.
Now starts the slow process of cleaning, painting and rebuilding. The progress is going to slow down now, but every part we bolt on should be on to stay. If you have any questions or words of wisdom, email them to email@example.com
