Tuk It Equipment Prep Continues

Tuk It Equipment Prep Continues

equipmentTricia and me have both made our last trips back to Canada and USA respectively and thus any hope of purchasing any more equipment from our home countries before the race is over.  What we have now and what we can pickup in Nairobi and India is what we’re going to have, to make this adventure a success.  Some of the equipment we were able to pickup on our trips home include a new GoPro, The Alaska Life Selfie Stick, power inverter, red duct tape, zip ties, tying twine, bungee cords, rehydration salts, Frog Toggs Poncho, Sawyer Mini Water Filter and more.  None of these equipment manufacturers are currently sponsoring us, but we’re never going to turn down the right partnerships, that could help us reach our goals of raising tons of money for great charities.

Now we are faced with a couple challenges before the race starts.  One, we both have jobs and this is the busiest time of year in our industry so that will occupy most of our time.  Our second challenge is preparing for this incredible adventure.  We both plan on blogging, both traditionally and video blogging as well as updating all of our social network channels to keep
people excited and to raise money for our charities, Equality Now and Cool Earth, both amazing charities well worth our efforts.  We still have to plan our route as the route is not something provided by the organizers, they give us a start line and a finish line and everything in between is up to us.  I have to tell you I can’t wait to start this adventure as it’s different from anything I’ve ever done in life.  I hope to keep everyone entertained along the way with our trials and tribulations.  I’m sure there are going to be some great times and some very tough times along this trip and we’ll do our best to capture it all for your entertainment.
